Cranberry Apple Chia Jam

Happy new year lovelies!

There’s something about the new year that revitalizes and brings forth a  feeling of a fresh start, and since this is my first post for 2017,  I want to inject a punch of color in my blog.

A color that represents my perspective this year.  Red symbolizes intensity, passion, strength, determination, love, and desire.  It sparks energy and encourages action.  That is how I want my year to begin.   How will you start your year? What color symbol motivates you this year?

So, that’s my jam for 2017 and speaking of which, let’s start jamming, shall we?

This recipe is very easy to make and even if you don’t have fresh cranberries on hand, you can easily substitute with another kind of fruit (e.g. blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries.)

Enjoy this lovely jam on your toast, overnight oats, or even with coconut ice cream!  Of course, the possibilities are endless.

This recipe has the right combination of tart and sweet.  It has the right amount of sweetness and it won’t spike up your blood sugar given you don’t finish the whole jar.  It’s definitely a far cry from store bought jams loaded with sugar and preservatives.
