Hey beautiful! It’s been a while.
Today, I’m sharing with you my current NATURAL BEAUTY PRODUCT obsession.
So, I’ve been reading up on the benefits of ROSE WATER for a while now, but never really thought it would do much for my skin. Then one day, I bought it on a whim and have been using it for over a month and I must say, I’m hooked!
If you love the smell of ROSES, you would love this skin tonic! It has a soft, feminine fragrance that purifies and soothes your skin no matter what skin type you have.
Let’s go over the BENEFITS of ROSE WATER shall we?
It provides hydration and nourishes skin.
It has ANTI- BACTERIAL properties – used in so many beauty products to help treat acne and acne prone skin.
It has ANTI- INFLAMMATORY properties – it is known to treat dryness and soothe rosacea or eczema. It also prevents sunburn and calms redness.
It has ANTI-OXIDANT properties – It helps the skin fight the harmful effects of free radicals generated by UV rays, pollution, unhealthy diet and lifestyle. However, it is not a substitute for aging creams.
It helps clean the pores and tighten the skin.
It’s a MOOD ENHANCER – The delicate scent uplifts your spirt and gives you a sense of well being making you feel relaxed.
HOW TO USE ROSE WATER?
Move over Evian, Rose is our skin’s new best friend! I can’t tell you how versatile rosewater can be. I use it every morning upon waking up! Due to it’s astringent properties it helps dissolve the oil from your face. It’s perfectly natural and best to use during mid-day when you need a little pick-me-up or when it’s scorching hot and need to freshen up!
REFRESHING WORKOUT SPRAY
Whether you’re exhausted from doing a high-intensity workout or just finished running 5k on the treadmill, THIS is a revitalizing spray that will instantly soothe the redness on your face. Don’t shy away – spray it on! Oh, did I mention that you can also use it to spray on your YOGA MAT before and after practice?! Yes, it kills the bacteria and it’s aroma gets you in the zone!
AS A LEAVE-ON HAIR SPRAY
Since rosewater has anti-bacterial properties, this is my go-to spray in between washes. The ends of my hair are bleached so I wash my hair every 3 days and rosewater does wonders in keeping my scalp F-R-E-S-H! Lastly, for people who struggle with dandruff, this helps to prevent bacteria from growing on your scalp.
AS AN EYE DE-PUFFER
Okay, so I’ve had puffy eye bags ever since I can remember and it worsens whenever I consume too much sodium or had a late night. So, rosewater saves the day! You can chill your rosewater bottle in the fridge, dampen a cotton ball and lightly dab under your eyes. The rosewater will help tone the capillaries and soothe those tired eyes!
AS A SKIN TONER and MAKEUP REMOVER
Use rosewater to cleanse and tone. Most commercially produced toners are chemically-laden and is harsh on your skin. Rosewater balances your skin’s ph , cleanses your skin, removes dirt and pollutants deep inside your pores.
ANTI-BACTERIAL HAND SANITIZER
Isn’t it amazing to have an ALL-AROUND product in your hands? Rosewater is known for it’s ANTI-VIRAL and ANTI-BACTERIAL properties, use a rosewater spritzer/spray for disinfecting your hands.
AS A SETTING SPRAY
Rosewater spritzer is perfect to spray over your makeup because it’s very hydrating, not to mention, 100% natural! I spray it on my face before and after my makeup so it keeps my skin moisturized and soft.
One thing to remember when buying ROSE WATER is to make sure you buy the PURE and NATURAL kind. Always look for ROSEWATER on top of the ingredient list, if it’s far down the list then the less actual rose water it contains. Choose one without alcohol as it can be drying to the skin.
Cleopatra’s beauty potion is ROSEWATER.
Did you know that the use of ROSE WATER dates back to Early Egypt when Cleopatra, the legendary Queen uses Rose Water as part of her skincare regime.
So there you go lovelies, I’ve shared with you several ways you can use rosewater on your skin and hair. It’s truly an amazing skin potion I think everyone should have. I’m actually heading out soon after I’m done writing this post to get my 2nd bottle of rosewater – have been using it 24/7! 🙂
I hope you’d give ROSEWATER a try and see for yourself! Let me know once you try it and share with me your favorite way to use it. Sharing is caring! 🙂
