“Darling, let’s wear high heeled boots and walk with pride.
Every step and every thump, they see us glide”
I love black and white photos, who doesn’t?
It’s devoid of pretentiousness. I like the “real-ness and raw-ness” of black and white. The depiction of drama, emotions, sensuality, and passion; all of which are visually appealing and evokes something in your soul.
It transports me back in time, especially during the time of our grandparents. The glory days of the 60’s and 70’s; my favorite eras!
Oh how I love the fashion and music scene during those years. The ladies are free spirits, oozing with glamour and sex appeal.
Every weekend when we drive outside of Nairobi, we have 60s and 70s rock n’ roll music blasting on the stereo and I can only imagine how fun that era was.
We can never replicate the past but we can make new memories that we can look back on.
So, this is me channeling my inner Edie Sedgwick and Brigitte Bardot.
