Sometimes you just have to…

stop and smell the flowers

Hello universe. It’s been a while.

My offline life got busier than usual.  The last 5 weeks was spent doing albeit different than my usual routine and it was a breather to do  something out of your comfort zone. Working from 8-4 for 3 weeks reminded me the value of hard work and  getting from point A to B especially when you want something done – whatever it may be.

This post is dedicated to all you busy bees, may you stop and smell the flowers today and everyday! I saw this beauty in someone’s garden while at work and it gave me a little reminder that it’s okay to take the time you need to sit back and enjoy the small things.  With our busy schedules, we tend to forget to acknowledge our hard work, spend time with our loved ones, make a random person smile, breathe deeply, enjoy a healthy meal or enjoy a nice cup of tea as we send loving thoughts to ourselves and to the world.  (WORLD Peace, yeah)

This is a ZINNIA flower which name was initially unknown to me.

The beautiful and brilliant colours of the Zinnia kept me enthralled that I had shared these photos to my friends and loved ones that day.

Quick fact: Did you know that flowers have symbolism and meaning to them as well?

The general representation of this flower is thoughtfulness and friendship.

Quick fact # 2: The Zinnia is the first flower that is grown in Space Station’s veggie facility.  According to NASA.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

Colour meaning of Zinnia flowers:

Yellow: daily remembrance

Magenta: lasting affection

Red: of the heart, steadfastness, familial ties, like the steady beating of a heart

Mixed: thinking of an absent friend
